Created By A Hairdresser, For Hairdressers
Andrew Dale, Founder and CEO of UNITE Haircare, created the brand as a solution to what was lacking in the industry- a haircare brand that truly supports the hairdresser.
At age 16, Dale began his apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon in London. His career quickly excelled, and he became a sought-after stylist, educator and session worker for Sassoon, which eventually transferred him to the United States. After working a short period in the New York location, he was moved to the world-renowned salon on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, where his clients consisted of Sting, Faye Dunaway, Carol Burnett, Rue McClanahan, Elvira and Vanessa Redgrave. In addition, Dale taught on the Sassoon Artistic Team both on platform and at the Santa Monica Academy. Throughout his career, Dale has worked with several professional haircare brands in many different arenas, including as an Artistic Director, working photo shoots, creating educational videos, and teaching technical training all around the world— all while owning and running his own five salons throughout San Diego.
It is with this vast array of experience that Dale found what he felt most benefited hairdressers and the industry: product performance, creative inspiration, a solid education program and uniting hairdressers to make the industry a better place. Utilizing these key fundamentals, Dale introduced UNITE Haircare in 2003 and held true to those values ever since. UNITE has been created by a hairdresser, for hairdressers.
